Mount Union's Lenny Reich Elected D3SIDA President for 2017-18

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Mount Union assistant to the athletic director and sports information director Lenny Reich has been elected president of the Division III Sports Information Directors Association for the 2017-18 year at the annual CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) and NACDA (National Association of College Directors of Athletics) Convention in Orlando.

D3SIDA is a leadership group representing 450 NCAA Division III instututions. The elected leaders of the group represent the membership to CoSIDA and at a variety of events including the NCAA Convention while also assist in programming for the annual convention.

Reich is in his 10th year at Mount Union handling media relations, marketing, website and social media for all 23 of the Raiders NCAA Division III teams. He also assists the atheltic department with a variety of administrative tasks.

An active member of CoSIDA, Reich also serves on the Academic All-America committee. He is a past chair of the Ohio Athletic Conference SID Task Force and is on the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Central Region Advisory Committee and the NCAA Sportsmanship and Game Environment Working Group.

Reich has been in the business for 20 years and prior to coming to Mount Union he was the sports information director at Capital for eight years. He also has had sports information jobs at Marian (Wis.), Defiance, Gulf South Conference, Centenary (N.J.) and Edinboro (Pa.).

He and his wife Helen and their daughter Caroline live in Alliance.
