Mount Union Launches New Athletics Website

ALLIANCE, Ohio--Mount Union launched a new athletic news and information website today (athletics.mountunion.edu) in a partnership with PrestoSports.

The site will be the source for all news, information, scores and schedules on all 21 intercollegiate athletic programs at Mount Union.  New to this site will be built-in video, easy access to schedules, scores and OAC standings.  There will also be a new mobile application of the site, the ability to download schedule and quickly get to social media applications like Twitter and Facebook.

"It is our hope it will be easy for fans to get around and provide place to showcase the excellent programs and people at Mount Union," commented Leonard Reich, sports information director.

With over 250 clients that include schools, conference offices and organizations, PrestoSports offers creative design and innovative online solutions that provides its clients with tremendous options.

Mount Union has been part of PrestoSports for the last two years using its live statistics platform and the Ohio Athletic Conference office uses the company for its standings and results pages on its website.

"We have worked well with PrestoSports over the last two years and its partnerships with the OAC and the D3Sports network of sites made them the perfect fit for us," stated Reich.  "We got input from all aspects of the campus community including faculty, staff and students, but also parents, alumni and the media to try and put together the best site possible."

The website was a cooperative effort of the offices of athletics, information technology and marketing at Mount Union.

Former Mount Union men's soccer player and recent graduate Chris Bondra '10 designed some of the rotating graphics, while current sports information student assistants Jesse James '11 and Torrance Carle '11 aided in setting up pages and moving content to the new site.

Please keep in mind that the transition from our previous site is an ongoing process that will continue over the next few weeks. Check back often as more and more content is added to the site every day.
