Bill Borchert ’98 (football) is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, who attended Holy Name High School in Parma.  A three-time All-American who was 1997 Gagliardi Trophy winner as national player of the year, Borchert is one of the most prolific quarterbacks in NCAA Division III history.  Twice he was named the OAC’s Mike Gregory Award winner as the conference’s top offensive back.  He is the Purple Raiders’ all-time leader with 946 completions in 1,447 attempts for 14,482 passing yards and 189 passing touchdowns.  He was a member of the 1996 and 1997 National Championship teams.  As a senior in 1997, he threw 63 touchdown passes to just two interceptions.
