Dave Bracken was a four-year varsity letterwinner as an outfielder on the baseball team from 1958 to 1961. Bracken batted .300 or better in each of his four years during which he was twice elected team captain. He led the OAC in hits twice (1960, 1961) and also topped the conference in runs scored (1961) and at bats (1959). Bracken was selected to the All-OAC First Team as a center fielder in 1961. Bracken finished his career with a .321 batting average.
