H. Larry Brown participated in football at Mount Union. He entered Mount Union in 1915, left just prior to the start of the 1917 football season to enter the military service. He returned for the 1919 football season. Brown earned three varsity letters in football. In 1916, he earned All-Ohio honors, and was a member of one of Mount Union’s great defenses, shutting-out five teams during the season. In 1919, he scored the only touchdown in a 57-7 loss to Notre Dame in South Bend.
