Mount Union M Club Hall of Fame to Induct Three on Sept. 24
The University of Mount Union M Club Hall of Fame will induct its 2011 class of Heather O’Shea ’95, Mike Sessor ’86 and John Topoly ’93 on Saturday, September 24.
The inductees will be recognized in a ceremony at noon Sept. 24 at the Haupt Presidential Home on S. Union Ave. Tickets for the ceremony are $15 and available by contacting the Office of Alumni Relations and University Activities to RSVP at 330-823-2030 or alumni@mountunion.edu.
Each of the inductees will also be recognized at halftime of the Mount Union football game with Wilmington that kicks off at 7 pm in Mount Union Stadium.

Heather O’Shea ‘95 (women’s track and field), a native of Wheeling, W.Va. and graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic, is one of the most decorated female student-athletes in Mount Union history. She won 17 Ohio Athletic Conference (9 indoor and 8 outdoor) track and field titles and was a two-time OAC Most Outstanding Indoor Athlete (1994, 1995) and 1995 OAC Outstanding Outdoor Athlete. A six-time All-American she was a two-time NCAA Champion in the 800 meters and part of the 1995 national champion 4x400 meter relay team. She had seven Mount Union track and field records and six of those still stand today. An Academic All-American, she was awarded the OAC’s Clyde Lamb Award in 1995 as the conference’s top female student-athlete and an NCAA Post-Graduate Scholarship. |

Mike Sessor ’86 (wrestling), a native of Navarre, Ohio and Fairless High School grad, claimed three straight OAC wrestling titles from 1984-86 and was an All-American with an eighth place finish at the 1985 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships. |

John Topoly ’93 (wrestling), a graduate of Lake Catholic High School in Mentor, Ohio, is a two-time OAC wrestling champion. He was also a two-time All-American with fifth place finishes in the 1990 and 1991 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships. |
To be inducted into the M Club Hall of Fame, a student-athlete must have earned a degree from Mount Union and received two letters in one sport, or one letter in two or more sports. Athletes are eligible for selection 15 years after graduation. Consideration will be based solely on Mount Union varsity participation, preceding graduation.
"The record of the proposed inductee must be exemplary in both performance and in character. There must be no question as to the deserving qualities that the inductee possesses."
