Rules

Team

6 against 6

5 player minimum

Field

Played in the auxiliary gym within the basketball court lines

Equipment

6 Rhino-skin balls (4 big, 2 small)

No excessive jewelry, hats or glasses

Game

 Balls are lined up at center court and the teams are on their respective end lines

 Upon the refs notice the teams will retrieve balls

Upon retrieving the balls, you must go back to your free throw line before throwing

First time to eliminate the opponents will be declared the winner

There is a 10 minute time limit for each game

If game is not over after 10 minutes, the team with most remaining players win the game

If amount of players is the same, play sudden death until first person is eliminated

Match Play

Best of 5 series

First team to win 3 games wins the match

Boundaries

Players must remain within the boundary lines

If a player steps out of the boundary to avoid being hit, that player is out

A player may leave the boundary to retrieve stray balls

When the total number of players combined on both teams is at 4, the field size shrinks

It is still the width of the basketball court or tennis court but the back line is now the volleyball line

Rules

All hits must be below the neck

Head shots do not count unless the player ducks their head into the shot

 Teams must stay on their side of the court at all times

There is no stalling

Must throw within a reasonable time (15-20 seconds)

Ways to get out

Getting hit by a ball

Having your thrown ball caught by an opponent

Stepping out of bounds

Deflected Balls

A player may deflect a thrown ball with a ball that they are holding

If they drop the ball they were holding as a result of the deflection, they are out

A deflected ball is no longer in play and cannot eliminate a person

Catching a thrown ball

The person who throws the ball is eliminated

The team that catches the ball can then bring a player back into the game

Players come back into the game in the order they were eliminated

A thrown ball is dead once it hits a ball in player’s hand

If a ball is deflected in the air after hitting a held ball, it can’t be caught

All deflected balls off of a person can be caught

There are no catches off the wall
