Rules 

Team

·         Consists of 7 players

·         5 player minimum

·         Must have a catcher

Field

·         Softball field dimensions, played on the Intramural field

Equipment

·         Bases

·         Bats

·         Ball

·         No excessive jewelry

·         Hats and bandanas are allowed

Substitutions

·         Made before, between, or after an inning

·         Must be announced

Game

·         7 inning game

·         50 minute time limit

·         7 run limit per inning

·         Teams must have a set batting order for the entire game

·         3 outs per inning

Rules

·         No bunting

·         Batters only receive 3 pitches to hit

-   If they fail to hit the ball fairly in 3 pitches, they are "out"

·         No infield fly rule

·         No leading off or stealing

-   The runner can't leave a base until the pitch is contacted by the batter

·         Base runners cannot intentionally run into defensive players to dislodge a ball or stop the player from fielding a ball

·         Ball cannot be thrown at a base runner

·         Ways that an offensive player can get out

-   Force outs

-   Having his/her pop fly caught in fair or foul territory

-   Not hitting a fair ball in 3 pitches

-   Bunting

-   Tagged out

·         No sliding
