At the plate, sophomore third baseman Anthony Morino (Strongsville/Strongsville) has had a super season as he is second in the conference with a .418 batting average. He leads the team with 13 doubles and is second on the squad with 28 runs batted in.
Junior first baseman Evan Knott (Canton/GlenOak) has a team-best 32 runs batted in, is hitting .400 with 52 hits.
The duo lead a Raider team that is third in the conference in hitting with a .306 batting average.
Junior Ricky Olasz (West Mifflin, Pa./West Mifflin) had a pair of doubles and drove in two runs in yesterday's 7-3 win over John Carroll.
Otterbein (25-15) is making its 20th tournament appearance and the Cardinals have a 29-30 record with five tournament titles -- the last of those in 2007.
Senior catcher Wes Meadows is hitting .411 and tops the conference with nine home runs while sophomore shortstop Sean Kettering has hit a league-best 49 runs batted in for the Cardinals.
Meadows might pitch today and he is 6-1 with three complete games and 50 strikeouts in 48.1 innings.
