Three Mount Union baseball players in sophomore Anthony Morino (Strongsville/Strongsville) and juniors Evan Knott (Canton/GlenOak) and Zach Carlino (Pittsburgh, Pa./Central Catholic) have all earned All-Mideast Region honors from both and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA).

Morino and Knott were second team selections on both teams while Carlino was a second team pick from and a third teamer from the ABCA.

Morino is one of five players in the OAC that hit over .400 as he led the team with a .403 batting average and 13 doubles.  He played in all 41 games and had 14 multi-hit games on his way to All-Ohio Athletic Conference Second Team honors.

Knott played in all 41 games and led the team in hits (54), runs batted in (32) and triples (5). He had 16 multi-hit games as he earned All-OAC Second Team honors.

Carlino was named OAC Pitcher of the Year as he tied the league lead for pitching victories with eight and led the team in innings pitched (70.0), strikeouts (48) and complete games (5).  It is the second straight year Carlino has earned all-region honors.

The trio led Mount Union to a 23-18 record, its second-ever OAC Tournament title and first-ever appearance in the NCAA Baseball Tournament.
