ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union's baseball team scored a 10-2 win over Ohio Wesleyan in a non-conference game Monday at 23rd Street Field in Alliance.

The Purple Raiders, now 13-4 on the season, got another strong starting pitching performance as sophomore left hander Nick Satovich (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum) went seven innings and did not allow an earned run on seven hits to pick up his first collegiate win.

At the plate, Mount Union had 14 hits as Joey Keleman (North Olmsted/North Olmsted) drove in three runs on three hits, Jimmy Scott (Holland/Toledo St. John's) had three hits while Angelo Cruz (Amherst/Steele) and Colin Scott (Richmond/Edison) each had two RBI.

Mount Union scored a pair of runs in the first inning with two outs on a Jimmy Scott double and a Nate Owen (Cranberry Twp., Pa./Seneca Valley) single.

The Raiders took advantage of an error and tacked on another run in the second off an RBI single from Cruz to make it 3-0.

Ohio Wesleyan (6-8) then scored a pair of unearned runs off a two-out, two-run single from Aaron Strausbaugh.

Mount Union then scored three runs in the third as Scott led off with a single and came home on a two-run home run from Keleman; Owen then tripled and scored on a ground out from Colin Scott.

Another run went on the board for the Raiders in the fifth as Keleman started the inning with a double, stole third and scored on a sacrifice fly RBI from Colin Scott.

Mount Union tacked on three more runs in the seventh on an RBI single from Keleman, a wild pitch with bases loaded and a sacrifice fly RBI from Cruz.

Trevor Ray took the loss on the mound for Ohio Wesleyan.

Mount Union next plays Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Thiel in Greenville, Pa.
