AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Mount Union junior Billy Goodall (Canfield/South Range) and sophomore Phil Mary (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) swept Ohio Athletic Conference Player and Pitcher of the Year awards to headline the All-OAC Baseball Teams as selected by the conference's 10 head coaches.

Goodall is the first-ever Purple Raider to earn the Dr. Bob Fisher OAC Player of the Year since the award began in 1978.

The Raiders center fielder, who is now a two-time all-conference selection, led the conference with a .454 batting average and 25 stolen bases. His .454 batting average is best in a season for Mount Union hitter since All-American Chris Tucker hit .475 in 2000 and his 25 stolen bases helped the Raiders set a team single season record 114 steals. He also tied an OAC Tournament record with five hits in a single game and was named to the OAC All-Tournament Team.

Fisher retired in 2010 after 42 seasons and 700 wins as the head coach at Baldwin Wallace.

Mary won the Kent Tekulve OAC Pitcher of the Year award after leading the conference with a 10-0 record and a 0.81 earned run average. Mary allowed just five earned runs against OAC teams and was second in the conference in innings pitched (78.0) and third in strikeouts (62).

He is second-ever Raider to win the award named for the former Marietta pitcher, Kent Tekulve, who spent 21 seasons playing professional baseball, including 17 seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Goodall and Mary both were also All-OAC First Team selections and are joined by six teammates on the all-conference teams that helped lead Mount Union to a single season record for wins and its first OAC regular season title since 1970.

Sophomore first baseman and pitcher Nick Satovich (Pittsburgh, Pa./Plum), senior shortstop Jimmy Scott (Holland/Toledo St. John's), junior Joey Keleman (North Olmsted/North Olmsted) were each All-OAC Second Team selections.

Junior pitcher Noah Skladan (Amherst/Steele) and seniors in outfield Kyle Spellman (Ravenna/Ravenna) and pitcher Mitch McCristall (Mansfield/Ontario) were All-OAC honorable mention selections.
