Baseball: Skladan Earns OAC Pitcher of the Week Honors

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -- Mount Union senior starter Noah Skladan (Amherst/Steele) was named the Ohio Athletic Conference pitcher of the week honors for the first time in his career. (3/26)

This is the second time in three weeks that a Mount Union pitcher earned the honor as junior Phil Mary (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) was honored earlier in the year. (3/12)

Skladan led the Raiders in game two of the sweep of Otterbein on Sunday as he threw a complete game shutout in the 3-0 win. The Mount Union lefty added four strikeouts while giving up just four hits.

The Cardinal offense did not have a runner get past second base in the game as they only had three runners reach second.

Skladan and the Raiders (10-4, 2-0 OAC) are back in action this Friday, March 30 against OAC foe Baldwin Wallace in Berea with the first game starting at 1 p.m.
