2019 ABCA/Rawlings All-America Release
Mount Union senior pitcher Phil Mary (Venetia, Pa./Peters Township) was named to the 2019 Rawlings All-American announced by the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) on Thursday, May 30 following the opening ceremony of the NCAA Division III World Series in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Mary led the Purple Raiders in earned run average (1.94) as he closed out his senior season with a 5-1 overall record and was second in the Ohio Athletic Conference in strikeouts with 78. Mary holds the record for most career innings pitched at Mount Union with 281.2.
It is the second time in Mary's career that he has earned All-American honors (2017) and is the only Mount Union player in program history to be named to the list twice.
The Raiders ended the season with a 22-14 overall record and 9-9 in conference play.
