Pro Football Hall of Fame to Host OAC Football Media Day Tuesday August 6
The Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, will be the site for the 2013 Ohio Athletic Conference Football Media Day Tuesday, August 6 at 10:30 am.
Defending conference champion University of Mount Union enters the season ranked No. 1 in national preseason polls. The Purple Raiders claimed their 24th overall and 21st consecutive OAC title along with their record 11th NCAA Division III championship in 2012.
At the media day, each of the OAC's 10 head coaches will give a preview of their team's upcoming season, while a student-athlete from each institution will take a couple of questions at the podium from conference commissioner Tim Gleason.
Vince Kehres, Mount Union's new head football coach will be one of five new coaches in the conference taking their turns at the podium.
After lunch the conference's preseason media and coaches polls will be announced, supervisor of football officials, Steve Furniss will go over rule changes along with answering questions, followed by coaches and players being made available for one-on-one interviews.
The Bill Nichols Media Service Award named in honor of long-time Cleveland Plain Dealer writer will also be presented to David Glasier of the Lake County News-Herald.
