SALEM, Va. -- Mount Union junior quarterback Kevin Burke (Westlake/Lakewood St. Edward), was named D3football.com National Offesnive Player of the Year while he and senior defensive tackle Matt Fechko (Twinsburg/Twinsburg) along junior wide receiver Luc Meacham (Toledo/Toledo Central Catholic) have all been named to the D3football.com All-America teams.

Burke is a first team selection, Fechko is on the second team while Meacham is an honorable mention pick.

Burke, who was awarded the Gagliardi Trophy as the top all-around player in NCAA Division III football and named to the AP Little All-America third team earlier this week, is 29-1 as the Purple Raiders' starting quarterback.  A year ago, he earned All-American honors and was the OAC's Bob Packard Offensive Back of the Year as he led Mount Union to a 15-0 record, an Ohio Athletic Conference title and a record 11th NCAA Division III title.  This season as the only returning starter on offense, he has led an offense that is currently the nation's top scoring offense as the Raiders finished 14-1, ranked No. 1 in the nation, won their 22nd straight OAC title and are in the national semifinals for a 19th straight season.

This season he is the nation's No. 1 rated passer and leads the nation with 44 touchdown passes.  He has completed 63-percent of his passes (212-of-337) for 3,514 yards while he is also the team's second leading rusher with 904 rushing yards and eight touchdowns.  His 1,035 rushing yards is a school single season record for a quarterback.

Fechko is a consensus All-American as he was named to the AP Little All-America first team and AFCA All-America teams earlier this week.

He has started all 14 games and was awarded Ohio Athletic Conference's Paul Hoernemann Award as the conference's top defensive lineman this season.  He has 40 tackles, 5.5 sacks and a forced fumble.  That forced fumble came on a sack in this past week's NCAA Playoff semifinal against North Central.

A four-year starter, Fechko has never missed a game as he will play in his 60th game and make his 58th start this week. This season, the team captain also played offensive tackle the first three games this season.

Meacham has 47 catches for 874 yards with a team-best 12 receiving touchdowns.  He was also the All-OAC first team tight end.
