Pro Football Hall of Fame to Host OAC Football Media Day Wednesday August 6

The Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, will be the site for the 2014 Ohio Athletic Conference Football Media Day Wednesday, August 6 at 10:30 am.

Defending conference champion University of Mount Union enters the season ranked No. 1 in national preseason polls. The Purple Raiders claimed their 25th overall and 22nd consecutive OAC title and advanced to the national championship game -- Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl -- for a ninth consecutive season in 2013.

At the media day, each of the OAC's 10 head coaches will give a preview of their team's upcoming season, while a student-athlete from each institution will take a couple of questions at the podium from conference commissioner Tim Gleason.

Vince Kehres in his second year as a head coach and senior quarterback Kevin Burke (Westlake/Lakewood St. Edward) will represent Mount Union at the podium.

After lunch the conference's preseason media and coaches polls will be announced, supervisor of football officials, Danny Kleckner will go over rule changes along with answering questions, followed by coaches and players being made available for one-on-one interviews.

The Bill Nichols Media Service Award named in honor of long-time Cleveland Plain Dealer writer will also be presented to the Wharff family of WMOA Radio in Marietta.
