The matchup: Mount Union hosts Baldwin Wallace in an Ohio Athletic Conference game Saturday, Oct. 7 at 1:30 p.m. at Mount Union Stadium. It is the last regular season home game of the season.

Raiders Clip Cardinals: Mount Union's defense again suffocated another opponent as the Raiders held Otterbein to 46 yards in 44 plays in a 55-0 shutout victory.

Tom Lally (Fairview Park/Lakewood St. Edward) had 2.5 sacks to lead a unit that had 5.0 sacks, a fumble recovery, an interception and a safety.

After failing to score on the game's opening possession, the Mount Union offense scored on its next seven possessions to take a 50-0 halftime lead.  Taurice Scott (Alliance/Alliance) threw four touchdowns and ran for another to pace the offense.  Logan Nemeth (McBain, Mich./McBain) made his first career start at running back and had 109 yards with a score while Tim Kennedy (Hudson/Hudson) 102 yards and Roman Namdar (Southlake, Texas/Carroll) each went over 100 yards receiving.

The Series: This is the 54th meeting between the teams with Mount Union holding a 31-21-1 lead in the series that dates back to a 10-0 Mount Union win in 1896. The Raiders have won 20-straight meetings dating back to a 23-10 Baldwin-Wallace win in 1994 in Alliance.

Jackets Get Fifth Straight Win: Baldwin Wallace quarterback Tyler Moeglin passed for two TD's and rushed for a career-best 150 yards with two scores to lead the Yellow Jackets to a 56-20 win over Capital.

Austin Smith also ran for 104 yards as BW led 28-6 at the break and scored 14 in the third quarter to put the game away.

Andy Schultz had a career-best 11 tackles, 3.0 for loss and a sack on defense.

Scouting the Jackets: Baldwin Wallace was 1-2 after three games but the Jackets have won five straight games with a margin of victory of 24 points a game during the streak. BW has the OAC's No. 2 ranked offense at 439 yards per game and No. 3 ranked defense at 353.8 yards per game.

The offense runs through senior quarterback Tyler Moeglin as the St. Thomas Aquinas grad is completing 71-percent of his passes (130-of-183) with 11 touchdowns and two interceptions.  He is also the Jackets leading rusher with 713 yards on 122 carries with 11 TDs.  Senior running back Issac Reed III also has six touchdowns rushing at a 6.0 yards per carry clip while junior receiver Bryon Cook is the top receiver with 27 catches for 400 yards and five touchdowns.

The defense has 15 sacks, four interceptions and a pair of fumble recoveries.  Sophomore linebacker Sam Groff leads the team with 58 tackles, junior defensive back Brock Hull has two inteceptions while junior defensive end Andy Schultz has 7.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.
Staying Regular: Mount Union has has won 101 straight regular season games dating back to 2005.  The Raiders won 110 straight regular season games from 1994-2005. Mount Union is 211-1 in its last 212 regular season games.  The loss before the streak started in 1994 was a 23-10 loss to Baldwin Wallace in Alliance.
Captains: Alex Kocheff, Tom Lally, Taurice Scott and Hank Spencer will be Mount Union's 2015 captains.

Scott Sizzles: Over his last four quarters of play, senior quarterback Taurice Scott (Alliance/Alliance) has thrown for nine touchdowns and ran for three.  On the season, he is tied for the OAC lead in passing touchdowns with 20, has completed 63-percent of his passes (110-of-174) with just one interception and is No. 3 in nation in passer rating (186.0).  Scott has nine rushing touchdowns on the season and the team's longest run from scrimmage this season at 74 yards.
Lally Matches Sack Record: Senior defensive lineman Tom Lally (Fairview Park/Lakewood St. Edward) had 2.5 sacks last week that gives him 31.5 career sacks which matches the Mount Union record held by James Herbert (2006-09).  Lally also has 55.5 tackles for loss which leaves one behind the record total of 56.5 held by Charles Dieuseul (2009-12).
Logan's Run: Senior Logan Nemeth (McBain, Mich./McBain) made his first start last Saturday had had 109 yards on 15 carries.  It was his third 100-yard rushing game over the last four weeks and he has had rushing touchdown in nine straight games dating back to last season.
