The matchup: No. 1 ranked Mount Union plays at No. 14 ranked John Carroll in the regular season finale Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in University Heights, Ohio.

On the line: The winner of this game claim's the conference's automatic bid to the 32-team NCAA Playoffs.  The loser will have to wait to see if they receive one of six national at-large bids.

Mount Union has clinched at least a share of its 24th straight and 27th overall conference title. 

John Carroll's last conference title came in 1994 when it tied Mount Union and Baldwin Wallace for the title.  The Blue Streaks also won titles in 1989 and 1938.

Raiders blank BW for 6th shutout of season: Mount Union held Baldwin Wallace, the OAC's No. 2 ranked offense, to 148 yards and 1-of-12 on third down in a 42-0 victory.  

Will Hiteshue (Medina/Medina) and Alex Kocheff (Chagrin Falls/Kenston) each had 11 tackles and Josh Stewart (Pleasantville/Fairfield Union) had 2.5 sacks to lead the unit.
Quarterback Taurice Scott (Alliance/Alliance) matched his career-high as he threw five touchdown passes – three to Roman Namdar (Southlake, Texas/Carroll) – as he went 21-of-27 for 252 yards.  Logan Nemeth (McBain, Mich./McBain) ran for 97 yards on 14 carries.

The series: This is the 35th meeting between the teams with Mount Union holding a 30-2-2 lead in the series dating back to a 48-0 Mount Union win in 1920. The Raiders have won 26-straight meetings going back to a 20-20 tie in 1991 in Alliance. The last John Carroll win was a 31-7 win in 1989 in University Heights.

John Carroll wins at Otterbein: John Carroll won its fifth straight with a 42-13 win at Ottebein.  Ro Golphin rushed for 145 yards and three touchdowns, along with catching a TD pass from Jake Schaefer, who completed 22-of-34 passes for 224 yards with two touchdowns. Mason McKenrick had 12 tackles and a sack to lead the defense.

Raiders in National Rankings: Mount Union's defense has posted six shutouts this season while its offense leads the nation in scoring. Here are some highlights in the NCAA rankings in a variety of catagories.

Scouting the Streaks: John Carroll's only loss on the season is a 30-27 home loss to Ohio Northern.  The Blue Streaks are sixth in the nation and second in the OAC in total defense (244.2 yds/gm) while the offense is ranked No. 4 in the OAC (414.6 yds/gm).

The defense tops the OAC and is third in the nation in sacks with 42 while their 11.1 points allowed per game is 10th best in the nation.  Freshman defensive lineman Ray Brown leads the team and is third in the OAC with 6.0 sacks and he also has 14 tackles for loss while senior linebacker Andy Bryan has a team-best 72 tackles and two interceptions to lead the unit.

Senior quarterback Jake Schaefer is second in the conference in both passing yards (233.9) and touchdown passes (22).  He has completed 59.9-percent of his passes (187-of-312) with nine interceptions and has been sacked only once in nine games.  Junior receiver Marshall Howell is second in the OAC with 92 yards per game receiving.  He has 10 receiving touchdowns and is second in the nation in kickoff return yards at 36.3 per return.  Sophomore running back Ro Golphin averages seven yards a carry and has 11 rushing touchdowns.
 
Staying Regular: Mount Union has has won 102 straight regular season games dating back to 2005.  The Raiders won 110 straight regular season games from 1994-2005. Mount Union is 212-1 in its last 213 regular season games.  

Captains: Alex Kocheff, Tom Lally, Taurice Scott and Hank Spencer will be Mount Union's 2015 captains.

Great Scott: Senior quarterback Taurice Scott (Alliance/Alliance) matched career-highs with 21 completions and five TD passes versus BW last week.  He is NCAA Division III's highest rated passer and third-best in all of college football at 189.2. On the season, he leads the OAC in passing touchdowns with 25, has completed 65.2-percent of his passes (131-of-201) for 2,033 yards with two interceptions.  Scott has nine rushing touchdowns on the season and the team's longest run from scrimmage this season at 74 yards.
   
Air Jordan: Junior wide receiver Jordan Hargrove (Akron/St. Vincent-St. Mary) had a career-best six catches against BW.  He finished with 85 yards and one of those catches went for a touchdown marking the third straight game he has caught a TD pass.
 
Stewart sacks: Junior safety Josh Stewart (Pleasantville/Fairfield Union) had 2.5 of the Raiders seven sacks against BW last week.  On the season, Stewart is sixth on the team in tackles with 28 and has 4.0 tackles for loss.

Nemeth keeps running: Senior runinng back Logan Nemeth (McBain, Mich./McBain) made his second straight start and had 97 yards rushing against BW.  He has over 100 yards in three of his last five games and leads the OAC with 16 rushing TDs.
