AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -- Mount Union senior Brooks Jenkins (Hilton Head, S.C./Hilton Head) has been named the Ohio Athletic Conference's Ken Wable Award Winner as the conference's top offensive lineman.

He and 12 other Purple Raiders are on the All-OAC Football teams as selected by the conference's 10 head coaches.

Jenkins is a three-year starter on the offensive line and started every at left tackle this season. He was an all-conference second team pick in 2015 and a first team selection this season. It is the 17th time a Purple Raider has been named the top lineman in the conference. Since 2008, the award has been named for former Mount Union Ken Wable, who was head coach for 24 years (1962-85) and led the Raiders to their first OAC title in 1985.

Jenkins is one of six Raiders to be on the All-OAC First Team along with senior center Mitch Doraty (Medina/Medina), senior running back Bradley Mitchell (Detroit, Mich./South Lake), senior line backer Charlie Dear (Massillon/Massillon Jackson), senior punt returner Tim Kennedy (Hudson/Hudson) and junior defensive lineman Mike Vidal (Miami, Fla./Ronald Regan Doral).

Doraty is a two-time All-OAC First Team pick, who is a three-year starter at center. He was an All-North Region and All-American a year ago who won the Rimington Trophy as the nation's top center.

Mitchell led the OAC in rushing touchdowns (17) this past season and is a four-time All-OAC selection (2nd team in 2013, 2015 and 1st team in 2014). He has 1,288 yards rushing and is fourth all-time on Mount Union's career rushing list with over 4,500 yards.

Dear is a three-year letterwinner that has started every game so far this season. He is second on the team in tackles (64) and has 5.0 quarterback sacks.

Kennedy is a three-time all-conference selection (honorable mention in 2014, 2nd team in 2015) and is the Purple Raiders all-time leader in punt returns and punt return yardage.

Vidal was an honorable mention selection a year ago, has started every game this season and has a team-best 12 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks.

Five Mount Union players are on the All-OAC Second Team in junior offensive lineman Cole Parrish (Creedmoor, N.C./South Granville), junior defensive lineman Adam Mihoci (Murrysville, Pa./Franklin Regional), sophomore linebacker Danny Robinson and safties in junior Brian Groves (Stow/Stow) and sophomore Austin White (Wadsworth/Wadsworth).

Two Raiders are also All-OAC honorable mention selections in junior offensive lineman Matt Fitchet (Conneaut/Edgewood) and freshman quarterback Dom Davis (Akron/St. Vincent-St. Mary).
