No. 1 ranked Mount Union will play five home and five away football games during the 2018 regular season.
The Purple Raiders take the nation's longest active win streak at 15 games into a season-opening game with Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Saturday, Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. at Mount Union Stadium. It will be the first-ever meeting between the teams as Rose-Hulman won the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference title in 2016 and has won eight games each of the last three seasons. Mount Union alum and former NFL coach Dom Capers will be honored prior kickoff.
After its traditional bye on Sept. 8, Mount Union opens Ohio Athletic Conference play with a 2 p.m. kickoff on Sept. 15 at Baldwin Wallace. The Raiders return home to face John Carroll on Sept. 22 at 1:30 p.m. for the annual M Club Hall of Fame game.
Trips to central Ohio foes Otterbein (Sept. 29) and Capital (Oct. 10) are sandwiched between a homecoming contest with Wilmington on Oct. 6 at 1:30 p.m. at Mount Union Stadium.
Mount Union hosts Heidelberg on Oct. 20 at 1:30 p.m. and the three national title teams -- football, men's indoor and outdoor track field along with national champion wrestler Jairod James -- will all be honored at halftime.
Back-to-back road trips to Ohio Northern (Oct. 27) and Muskingum (Nov. 3) before a home game Nov. 10 at 1:30 p.m. against Marietta close out the regular season.
Mount Union went 15-0 last season and won its 28th OAC title then went on to win its record 13th NCAA Division III National Championship.
