Two more classic Mount Union football games are on tap to be broadcast by WIVM-TV in Canton and simulcast online Saturday, March 28.
WIVM-TV is on channel 39 over the air, channel 989 on Spectrum cable in Stark County and online at WIVMTV.com. Fans can also add the LiveStream app on their smart TV and search for WIVM.
At 2 p.m., the station will broadcast the 2006 national semifinal game between Mount Union and UW-La Crosse that was moved to Camp Randall Stadium at the University of Wisconsin in Madison. The Purple Raiders had lost twice before in the playoffs to UW-La Crosse, in 1992 and 1995, when the Eagles went on to win the national title in both of those seasons.
At 8 p.m., the station will broadcast a 1985 matchup between Mount Union and Baldwin Wallace in Alliance, Ohio. It was the final regular season home game for the Raiders as they tried to secure their first-ever Ohio Athletic Conference title for head coach Ken Wable.
Joe Tait and Harry Paidas are on the call for both games produced by Image Video, which operates WIVM-TV
In between the two Mount Union games, WIVM will broadcast a 2000 high school football state championship game between Canton Central Catholic and Van Wert.
Image Video of North Canton produced all the games and operates WIVM-TV.
