Another classic Mount Union football game is scheduled to be broadcast by WIVM-TV in Canton and simulcast online Saturday, May 16 at 7 p.m.
WIVM-TV is on channel 39 over the air, channel 989 on Spectrum cable in Stark County and online at WIVMTV.com. Fans can also add the LiveStream app on their smart TV and search for WIVM.
At 7 p.m., the station will broadcast a 2002 NCAA semifinal playoff game between Mount Union and John Carroll at Mount Union Stadium. Both Ohio Athletic Conference teams were nationally ranked as John Carroll swept through the east region and Mount Union had won the north region with a ticket to the Stagg Bowl going to the winner. A pair of current NCAA Division I head coaches squared off as seniors in the game in Mount Unioln defensive end Matt Campbell now at Iowa State and John Carroll quarterback Tom Arth, now at Akron.
The 2002 season highlight film will also be shown immediately following the game.
