Raider Rewind: Watch When Mount Union Knocked Oklahoma Out of Record Book Saturday

Another classic Mount Union football game is scheduled to be broadcast by WIVM-TV in Canton and simulcast online Saturday, July 25.

At 7 p.m., the station will broadcast a 1999 matchup between Mount Union and Otterbein at Mount Union Stadium. The Purple Raiders came into the game having tied the Oklahoma Sooners with an NCAA record 47 consecutive wins. Oklahoma had held the record for 42 years.

The game was played before a then record crowd of 7,132 in Mount Union Stadium.  

WIVM-TV is on channel 39 over the air, channel 989 on Spectrum cable in Stark County and online at Fans can also add the LiveStream app on their smart TV and search for WIVM.

Joe Tait, Jeff Shreve and Harry Paidas have called the action on air for games produced by Image Video, which operates WIVM-TV.
