Pellerite and Wood Named All-OAC Men's Basketball

(AUSTINTOWN, OH)--Mount Union junior forward Dave Pellerite (Olmsted Falls/Olmsted Falls) and sophomore forward Jimmy Wood (Wintersville/Indian Creek) were both named All-Ohio Athletic Conference honorable mention selections by the league's 10 coaches.

Pellerite, an honorable mention selection for a second straight year, led the Purple Raiders in scoring (13.8 ppg), rebounding (7.0 rpg) and was second in assists (65).  He started all 26 games and became the 25th player in school history to score over 1,000 career points.

Wood also started all 26 games and was the team's top shooter (.530) from the floor and shot blocker (10) while being second in scoring at 12.6 points per game.

The duo led Mount Union to an 11-15 record and a fifth place finish in the OAC (9-9).
