Dave Pellerite Named OAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

(AUSTINTOWN, OH)--Mount Union junior forward Dave Pellerite (Olmsted Falls/Olmsted Falls) has been named Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Pellerite became the 25th player in Mount Union history to score over 1,000 points when he netted a team-best 20 points and led the Purple Raiders back from 23 points down with 12 minutes to play in regulation in an 84-82 double overtime victory against Baldwin-Wallace last Wednesday.

He then scored 12 points as Mount Union matched a season-best three-game win streak with an 88-71 victory over Otterbein.

On the season, he leads the Purple Raiders in scoring (13.8 ppg) and rebounding (6.9 rpg).

Mount Union wraps up the regular season this week with road games Wednesday at Muskingum (7:30 pm) and Saturday at Capital (2 pm).
