BEREA, Ohio- Mount Union men's basketball team lost to Ohio Athletic Conference opponent Baldwin Wallace, 80-75, Wednesday night.
Baldwin Wallace got 19 points from Jay Battle as they improve to 12-12 overall and 7-10 in the OAC.
Mount Union got off to a 10-4 start early in the first half but the Yellow Jackets answered, getting their first lead of the game, 11-10, at the 14:05 mark. Baldwin Wallace pushed for a six point lead over Mount Union, 20-14.
The Raiders went on a 9-0 run to get a three point lead over the Yellow Jackets, 23-20, with 8:40 remaining in the half. Mount Union went into the break up by one point, 39-38.
The second half started out with four lead changes and two ties as the Raiders then trailed the Yellow Jackets by ten points, 64-54, with 8:50 remaining.
An 8-2 run put the Raiders back within four points of the Yellow Jackets, 66-62. Baldwin Wallace pushed their lead back up, 71-62, with 3:31 to go. A Bower-Malone three-pointer put the Raiders within three points of the Yellow Jackets, 76-73, with 22.7 seconds remaining. Mount Union could not get a lead back, as Baldwin Wallace won 80-75.
Mount Union travels to Westerville, Ohio to take on Otterbein for their final regular season game at 2:00 PM.
