AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -- Mount Union senior JJ Kukura (Alliance) and sophomore Nathan Bower-Malone (Stow) earned All-Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Basketball honors for the 2017-18 season.

Kukura garnered All-OAC second team honors for the third straight season as he started all 26 games averaging 27 minutes per game while leading the team in scoring with 18.6 points per game and rebounding with 7.1 per game.

In the first game of the season against City College of New York, Kukura became the 31st Purple Raider to score over 1,000 career points. Kukura finished his career third in program history scoring 1,477 points.

Bower-Malone earned a spot on the All-OAC honorable mention list as the sophomore point guard started 25 out of 26 games with a team-high 29.2 minutes per game and was second on the team in scoring with 14.6 points per game while dishing out a team-best 4.5 assists per game. 

Kukura, Bower-Malone and the rest of the Raiders finished their season with a 13-13 overall record and a 9-9 conference record.
