Men's Golf Seventh at OAC Spring Invitational
(COSHOCTON, OH)--Mount Union's men's golf team placed seventh at the 54-hole OAC Spring Invitational this weekend at River Greens Golf Club outside of Coshocton, Ohio.
The Purple Raiders carded a total of 952 (323-217-312) which was four shots behind sixth place Capital (948) and five shots back of fifth place Ohio Northern (947).
John Carroll won the event with a score of 912.
Senior Steve Tambascio (Whitney Point, NY/Whitney Point) and freshman Jon Lieser (Minerva/Minerva) each had identical 81-77-78=236 to finish tied for 21st.
Sophomore Bryan Bober (Brecksville/Brecksville-Broadview Hts) had a 79-81-77=237 for place 24th and junior Ryan Ringwalt (Warsaw/River View) had an 82-82-82=246 to finish 35th.
The results of this event matched with results from the OAC Fall Invitational will seed the OAC Championship which will be a 36-hole event hosted by Mount Union at Tannenhauf Golf Club in Alliance on Friday, Apr. 30 and Saturday, May 1.
