Men's Golf Places Third at OAC Spring Invitational
PATASKALA, Ohio -- Mount Union's men's golf team placed third at the two-day, 54-hole Ohio Athletic Conference Spring Invitational, which wrapped up on Monday at Cumberland Trail Golf Course.
Scott Miller (Wycoff, N.J./Ramapo) carded the team's low score -- a 238 -- and finished seventh after three rounds (84-80-74). The invitational was split into two 27-hole days.
Ben Lehrke (North Ridgeville/Lutheran West) added a ninth-place finish with a 240 (85-79-76).
Also for the Raiders, Steve Guerrieri (Canton/Massillon Jackson) tied for 22nd, shooting a 248 (83-88-77).
As a team, Mount Union had a 979 stroke total, finishing behind team champ Ohio Northern (953) and second-place Otterbein (958).
Baldwin-Wallace's Ricky Jaskolski was the medalist, finishing with a 232 (84-74-74).
The Purple Raiders will be in action next at the OAC Championship, which will be a three-day, 72-hole event at River Greens Golf Club in West Lafayette.
