Men's Golf Finishes Third at Malone Fall Classic

ALLIANCE, Ohio -- The Mount Union men's golf team placed third out of eight teams at the Malone Fall Classic.

Nick Popely (Painesville/Riverside) led Mount Union as he finished in a tie for seventh place with a 146 (74-72).

The Purple Raiders complied 600 strokes as a team and finished two strokes behind second-place team Walsh University and 38 strokes behind tournament host and winner Malone University.

The Raiders next compete at the John Carroll Invitational at Shaker Heights Country Club on Sept. 16.
