CANTON, Ohio -- Mount Union senior Ben Lehrke (North Ridgeville/Lutheran West) fired a two-over par 73 to claim medalist honors at The Phipps Memorial Tuesday at Brookside Country Club in Canton.

It was Lehrke's fifth straight top five finish and first tournament win of the year and he finished a stroke ahead of sophomore teammate Colin Westphal (Cuyahoga Falls/Woodridge) along with Kenny Earle of Malone, Brian James and Blake Foutty of Walsh.

Malone and Walsh tied for the low team score at 307 and the Pioneers were awarded the team trophy based on a scorecard playoff.

The Purple Raiders were two strokes off the pace with a 309.

The tournament concludes Mount Union's fall season and the Raiders will play again the first week of March in Pinehurst, N.C.
