Men's Golf: Raiders in Third Place After First Day of OAC Championships

COSHOCTON, Ohio – Mount Union's men's golf team sits in third place after the first day of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships held at the River Greens Golf Course in Coshocton, Ohio.

The Purple Raiders carded a team score of 298 which was two strokes behind second place team, Ohio Northern, and 12 strokes behind first place team Otterbein.

Buster Thomas (Cortland/Cortland), Sean Croell (Newton Falls/Newton Falls) and Luke Engle (Maysville/Maysville) led Mount Union as they each tied for eleventh place carding a first round score of 74.

Other Raiders at the tournament were Andrew Thompson (New Albany/New Albany) who tied for 17th with a 76 and Jake Brake (Van Wert/Van Wert) who tied for 19th with a 77.

Mount Union continues the OAC Championships Saturday, April 29 at 10:00 a.m.
