Men's Golf: Mount Union Holds Third Place After Day One of the OAC Spring Tournament

SUNBURY, Ohio -- Mount Union's men's golf team holds third place after shooting 315 on day one of the Ohio Athletic Conference Spring Tournament at the Northstar Country Club in Sunbury.

The Purple Raiders are just four strokes behind John Carroll (311) and three strokes ahead of Heidelberg (318). Otterbein leads the invitational as they shot 303 on day one.

Mount Union was led by junior Sean Croell (Newton Falls) as he holds a tie for fifth after shooting 76. Just behind Croell was senior Buster Thomas (Cortland/Lakeview) as he is tied for 10th after shooting a 78.

Junior Andrew Thompson (New Albany) fired an 80 and is tied for 20th while sophomore Isaac Davidson (East Liverpool) was just one stroke off with an 81 and is tied for 27th.

Rounding out the five for the Raiders was senior Matt Dudley (Canal Fulton/Northwest) who is tied for 48th after shooting an 85.  

Day two of the OAC Spring Tournament tees off at 9:45 a.m. at Northstar Country Club.
