COLUMBIA STATION, Ohio—Mount Union's men's golf team finished with a combined score of 299 at the Baldwin Wallace Fall Invite at Mallard Creek Golf Club.
The Purple Raiders 299 was 12 strokes behind first place Baldwin Wallace who won the event with a 287.
Junior Drew Beck (Massillon/Massillon Perry) led Mount Union with a total of 70 which was one stroke behind medalist Ben Ladaika of Baldwin Wallace.
Rounding out the Mount Union scorecard were seniors Luke Engle (Zanesville/Maysville), who completed the course with a 71 and finished in fourth overall, Sean Croell (Newton Falls) for seventh (74), Tyler Ellis (Brook Park/Berea-Midpark) and Andrew Thompson (New Albany) finished in 20th (77). Sophomore Jacob Feldner (Cambridge) tallied a 78 for 28th place. Matt Eddins (Louisville) rounded out the team score in 28th with a 79.
Mount Union returns to the course on Monday, September 17 at the John Carrol Fall Invitational at Shaker Heights Country Club in Cleveland, Ohio.
