Feldner’s Back-to-Back 75’s Lead Mount Union at Malone Invite

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Mount Union junior Jacob Feldner (Cambridge) fired a pair of 75's to place sixth overall and lead the men's golf team to a fourth place team finish at the Malone Invitational Saturday at Tannenhauf Golf Club.

Feldner was followed by freshman Ian Smith (Cambridge) in 14th with a 153 (74-79) along with seniors Matt Eddins (Louisville) and Killian May (Zanesville / Newark Catholic) with a 155 (74-81) in 19th and a 157 (78-79) in 24th.

Mount Union's team score over the two days was 615 (301-314) which was two shots back of third place Baldwin Wallace (311-302=613). West Liberty (W.Va.) won the event with a 594 (297-297) and host Malone was in second place (299-304=603).

The Purple Raiders next compete Saturday, Sept. 14 in the Rumble at the River at River Greens Golf Club outside of Coshocton, Ohio.
