Men’s Lacrosse Falls On The Road At Kenyon, 11-2
GAMBIER, Ohio – Mount Union's men's lacrosse team dropped their second straight game as they lost on the road to Kenyon, 11-2 Saturday afternoon.
The Purple Raiders (1-3) were led by freshmen duo Josh Bender (Delaware/Delaware Hayes) and Hogan Harris (Medina/Medina) as they scored one goal apiece for the Raiders. Freshman goalie Collin Peters (Portland, Ore./Sunset) would make a total of 14 saves while facing 44 shots.
The Kenyon Lords (3-4) were led by Trey Trudell and Justin Coleman as they both tallied three points in the game with two goals and one assist apiece.
Kenyon would control the game as they would score three goals in the first quarter and two in the second quarter taking the 5-0 lead into halftime.
The Lords opened play in the third quarter finding the back of the net again three times taking the 8-0 lead to the final quarter of play. In the fourth quarter, Mount Union would score two goals from Bender and Harris as Kenyon would score three more goals going on for the 11-2 victory.
Mount Union next travels to Hiram on Wednesday, March 20th face-off is set for 7:00 pm.
