Men's Lacrosse: Mount Union Hosts Oberlin in Home Opener Wedneday

Mount Union's men's lacrosse team opens the home portion of the 2014 schedule against Oberlin Wednesday at 4 pm at Mount Union Stadium in Alliance.

The Purple Raiders are 1-1 after rallying for a 12-11 win last Saturday at St. Vincent (Pa.).

Michael Taylor (Broadview Hts/Brecksville-Broadview Hts.) leads the team with five points (2 goals, 3 assists) while Toren Moore (Columbus/Hilliard Darby) has a team-high four goals.

Goalkeeper Collin Peters (Portland Ore./Sunset) has started both games this season so far and has 30 saves along with a team-best eight ground balls.  

Oberlin has not played a game yet this season and the Yeomen went 8-6 a year ago including a 15-5 win at Mount Union.

The Raiders stay home and next play Washington & Jefferson (Pa.) Saturday, March 1 at 1 pm at Mount Union Stadium.
