Men's Lacrosse: Mount Union's Peters & Jones Headline All-OAC Selections; Five Raiders Recognized By Coaches
AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -- Mount Union sophomore Collin Peters (Portland, Ore./Sunset) and freshman Stephen Jones (Hudson/Hudson) both were named to the All-Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Team by the conference's head coaches.
Peters started all 17 games in goal this past season and led the conference in save percentage while he was second in goals against average and saves.
Jones, a midfielder, played in all 17 games had 15 goals and was second on the team with 10 assists.
Three other Purple Raiders were honorable mention selections in senior defenseman Matt Milano (North Canton/Hoover), sophomore attack Toren Moore (Columbus/Hilliard Darby) and freshman attack Chris Daley (Wilmington, Del./Dupont).
Milano was second on the team with 37 ground balls and 19 turnovers, Moore played in 15 games and had 29 points (23 goals, 6 assists) while Daley led Mount Union in scoring with 41 points and his 20 assists were fourth in the OAC.
In its second season back as a varsity sport after a near a 20-year hiatus, Mount Union went 12-5 and finished second in the OAC with a 4-1 record.
