Men's Lacrosse: Mount Union Hosts Washington and Jefferson for Non-Conference Matchup

The Mount Union men's lacrosse team will host the Washington and Jefferson (Pa.) Presidents for a non-conference matchup Wednesday night. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start.

What: Mount Union (2-1, 0-0 OAC) vs. Washington and Jefferson (Pa.) (1-3, 0-0 PAC)

Series: W&J leads the all-time series, 3-0. The last meeting between these two teams resulted in a 7-6 for W&J (3/11/15).

Game Preview:

Mount Union enters the game off a 14-11 win over St. Vincent (Pa.). The Raiders scored five unanswered goals to come from behind and defeat the Bearcats.

The Purple Raiders were led by Chris Daley (Wilmington, Del./Dupont) with three goals. Nine players from Mount Union chipped in scores for the win. Andrew Rosati (Streetsboro/ Walsh Jesuit)  and Nick Ameo (Concord/Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin) both went 7 of 14 in faceoffs while Ameo also led the team in groundballs (6).

W&J comes into the matchup off a 14-4 loss to Wooster. Kyle Heinig led the effort for the Presidents with two goals.
