Men's Lacrosse: Motter Named OAC Rookie of the Year; Three Earn All-OAC honors

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio -- Mount Union freshman faceoff specialist Chris Motter (Hudson) was named Ohio Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year to highlight the All-OAC Men's Lacrosse teams selected by the conference's 10 head coaches.

Motter is the first Purple Raider to win the award and only the third to be named to the All-OAC First Team since the conference began sponsoring men's lacrosse in 2014. He led the nation in face-off percentage winning 78.8-percent of his faceoffs while setting Mount Union single season records for faceoff wins (194) and ground balls (134).

Two other Mount Union players -- senior attack Brent Greenberg (Gaithersburg, Md / Quince Orchard) and freshman midfielder Alek Kungle (Hartville / Lake) -- both earned all-conference honorable mention honors.

Greenberg was third in the conference this season with a school single-season record 30 assists as he led the Raiders the scoring with 50 points and was second on the team in goals scored with 20. A four-year letterwinner, he finishes his career second in points (140) and assists (63) all-time at Mount Union.

Kungle led the Raiders in goals with 22 on the season.

Mount Union went 6-9 overall and 3-5 in the OAC this season.
