Men's Lacrosse: Mount Union Grounded at Grove City

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Mount Union's men's lacrosse team suffered a 16-2 loss at Grove City Tuesday at Robert Thorn Field in Grove City, Pa.

Matt Bisono (Deer Park, N.Y.) and Alek Kungle (Hudson) scored the only goals for the Purple Raiders, who are now 1-2 on the season.

Brett Gladstone and Jed Speers each had three goals for Grove City (1-1).

Grove City scored three goals in the game's first 10 minutes before Bisono scored off a pass from Hunter Holt (Medina). The Wolverines tacked on another goal to make it 4-1 after the first quarter. 

Grove City tallied four more goals to start the second quarter and lead 8-1. Kungle had an unassisted goal at the 6:39 mark but Grove City put three more on the board to lead 11-2 at the half.

The Wolverines scored five more in the second half for the 16-2 final.

Mount Union returns home to host Westminster (Pa.) Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Mount Union Stadium.
