Men's Soccer: Raiders Hand Capital First Conference Loss

ALLIANCE, Ohio--Mount Union's men's soccer team defeated Capital 3-1 in an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup Saturday, afternoon at Mount Union Stadium. 

Senior Colton Harsh (Ravenna/Southeast) recorded two goals in the match while junior Jon Schroeder (Parma/Normandy) tallied a goal and two assists as the Purple Raiders improved to 10-2 and 3-2 in the OAC. 

Capital falls to 10-3 and 4-1 in the OAC on the season.

Harsh started the Raider scoring in the 34th minute off a free kick from Schroeder.

The Crusaders tied the match at one in the 46th minute from a penalty kick. 

Harsh collected his second goal of the match in the 68th minute. 

Schroeder's goal in the 89th minute finished the scoring for the Purple Raiders. 

Junior Zach Hlas (Medina) posted his 10th win of the season making three saves in the contest. 

Mount Union travels to Marietta on Wednesday, October 17 at 7 p.m.
