Men's Soccer: Mount Union Moves Up in National Polls

ALLIANCE, Ohio — The Mount Union men's soccer team moved up four spots to No. 14 in this week's D3soccer.com Top 25 poll.

The Purple Raiders are 6-0-1 and received a total of 450 points in the poll.

Mount Union picked up two victories last week as they beat Geneva (pa.) 2-1 and Denison 1-0.

Tufts (Mass.) received all 21 first place votes to sit on top of the poll while fellow Ohio Athletic Conference members John Carroll and Capital are ranked No. 3 and No. 25 respectively.

Mount Union moved up in the Great Lakes Region as well to the third ranked team and have cracked the top 25 national poll done by the United Soccer Coaches sitting No. 24.

Mount Union closes out its non-conference schedule Wednesday, September 25 at 7 p.m. against No 16 nationally-ranked Penn-St. Behrend at Mount Union Stadium.
