Men's Soccer: Career Day From Lewis Leads #22 Mount Union to Win

WESTERVILLE, Ohio—Senior Josh Lewis (Elyria) had a career high two goals in the second half to lead #22 Mount Union to a 2-0 win over Otterbien Saturday afternoon in Westerville.

Mount Union (7-1-1) and Otterbein (6-4) were held scoreless through the first half.

Lewis scored his first goal of the day in the 63rd minute off an assist from senior Jon Schroder (Parma / Normandy).

Lewis then connected on a ball in the 81st minute to get his second goal of the day giving the Purple Raiders a commanding 2-0 lead to finish the game.

Senior goalkeeper Zach Hlas (Medina) made five saves in goal for the Raiders collecting his fifth shutout of the season and 15th of his career.

Mount Union next plays #9 nationally-ranked John Carroll on Wednesday Oct. 9 at 7pm at Mount Union Stadium.
