Men's Soccer: Hlas Wins OAC Weekly Award For Fifth Time This Season

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio-- Mount Union senior goalkeeper Zach Hlas (Medina) was named Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week (10/14).

This is the second straight week, fifth time this season and seventh time in his career that he has won the conference's weekly award.

Hlas had nine saves over two games as the Raiders earned two points in the conference stadings with double overtime ties against No. 12 John Carroll and Wilmington. The two shuouts were his sixth and seventh shutout of the season and 16th and 17th of his career.

Hlas has three-straight shutouts stretching over 310 minutes without a goal allowed.

Hlas currently sits fifth in the nation in save percentage with 88.9-percent.

Mount Union next plays at Muskingum on Wednesday, October 16 at 7 p.m. in New Concord.
