Men's Soccer: #22 Mount Union Drops First OAC Game

BEXLEY, Ohio-- No. 22 Mount Union's men soccer team lost 2-1 at Capital in an Ohio Athletic Conference game Saturday afternoon.

Mount Union drops its first OAC game to be 2-1-2 and 8-2-2 overall while Wilmington improves to 3-2 in the OAC and 6-4-3 overall.

The Purple Raiders got on the board first with a goal from Colton Priester (Painesville / Riverside) in the 9th minute.

Capital responded with two goals in less than two minutes apart from each other in the 18th and 19th minute to end senior goalkeeper Zach Hlas' (Medina) shutout streak at 417 minutes.

Both teams held each other scoreless in the second half to finish the game.

Mount Union plays next at home Wednesday, October 23rd at 7 p.m. against Marietta.
