Men's Swimming And Diving Finishes Day One Of The Wooster Invitational In Eighth Place
WOOSTER, Ohio - -Mount Union's men's swimming and diving finished day one of the Wooster Invitational in eighth place with 156 points, which was 76 points behind seventh place Wooster (232) and 96 points ahead of eighth place Allegheny (60).
Senior Rob Brocious (Mentor/Mentor) placed eighth in the 500 yard freestyle (4:51.65), which was his top time in that event this season.
The 200 yard medley relay (3:37.83) for the Raiders placed fourth and included swimmers: freshman Gavin Rundell (Mount Vernon/Mount Vernon), sophomore Brian Ruhe (Versailles/Versailles), and junior Mike Zappa (Shelby/Shelby).
Day two of the invitational continues tomorrow with prelims starting at 10:00 a.m. and finals scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.
