Men's Swimming and Diving: Mount Union Wins Season Opener at Malone

CANTON, Ohio – Men's swimming and diving traveled to Malone Friday night and left with a 128-108 win at C.T. Branin Natatorium.

Leading Mount Union was senior Tyler Fry (Massillon/Washington), junior Jack Ineson (Huron/Huron) and sophomore Logan Palochak (Hopewell, Pa./Hopewell). Individually, Fry 200-yard backstroke, Ineson won the 200-yard breaststroke and Palochak the 50-yard freestyle. Joined by junior Nick Hoffman (Fremont/Fremont Ross), the three also won the 200-yard medley relay. 

Also with first-place finishes was senior Brian Walker (Cincinnati/Oak Hills) and Cole Ellsworth (Temperance, Mich./Bedford) who won in the 200-yard IM and 500-yard freestyle, respectively.

Next up, the Purple Raiders will be at home against Hiram on Saturday, October 21 at 1 p.m. at the Hammond Natatorium.
