Men's Swimming and Diving: Mount Union Holds Seventh Place After Day One at Wooster Invite

WOOSTER, Ohio -- Mount Union's men's swimming and diving team holds seventh place with a score of 199 after the ten events during day one of the Wooster Invitational on Thursday in the Timken Natatorium.

The 400 yard medley relay team of senior Tyler Fry (Massillon/Washington), junior Jack Ineson (Huron/Huron) and sophomores Cole Ellsworth (Teperance Mich./Bedford) and Logan Palochak (Hopewell, Pa./Hopewell) recorded a sixth place finish with a time of 3:31.84.

Fry also had a 10th place finish in the 200 yard IM with a time of 1:57.83. 

The 200 yard freestyle relay team of freshmen Mark Silver (Painesille/Riverside) and Derek Currey (McDonald, Pa./West Allegheny) along with sophomores Ellsworth and Palochak recorded a 10th place finish with a time of 1:28.57.

Ellsworth then finished 12th in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 4:46.33.

Day two of the Wooster Invitational begins Friday morning with preliminaries at 10 a.m. with finals coming at 6 p.m
